The Development Manager is responsible for:
Building ATJ’s brand awareness and cultivating relations with prospective donors, philanthropic community, and grassroots supporters through research, digital engagement, and events
Conducting prospect research and developing materials for donor engagement
Supporting grant writing and fundraising proposals based on ATJ’s strategic programs and initiatives
Working in collaboration with program staff, manage required grant reporting and compliance
Leading and execute grant operations by leveraging the CRM tools to track gifts, process donations, and send donor correspondence in accordance with federal and state regulations
Strategically overseeing sources of earned and programmatic revenue to meet fundraising goals through events and external engagements
Working with ATJ’s board members to support fundraising events and stewardship efforts to meet board revenue goals
Analyzing data to evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising strategies and program investments to make recommendations for continued improvements
Providing other administrative, programmatic, and event support, as needed

Three or more years of fundraising, grant writing, and/or donor relations experience
Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems preferred
Familiarity with community organizing, civic engagement, and/or policy advocacy
Skilled in project management, building new systems, and creating processes to streamline operations and optimize efficiency
In-depth knowledge of the local AAPI environment and community leaders
Deeply passionate about equity and social justice, particularly for AAPIs and other marginalized groups
Detail oriented, excellent time management, and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and facilitation
Able to work well independently as well as in a collaborative environment

The Programs Manager is responsible for:
Project managing and executing civic engagement and voter contact strategies for all Texas statewide and select local elections, including, but not limited to, digital, field, and relational organizing
Expanding ATJ’s civic engagement scope by identifying new opportunities, programs, and strategies to increase AAPI voter participation in Texas.
Leading strategies to increase community engagement and organizing at voter registration drives, voter education events, and GOTV campaigns through subgranting, training, and capacity building for community partners
Providing training and education for subgrantees to support their voter engagement and policy advocacy work
Collaborating with ATJ staff to develop narrative and communications strategies to engage and educate AAPI Texans through social media, websites, voter guides, and other digital and in-person tools for elections and statewide advocacy
Cultivating relationships and partnerships with community leaders and community-based organizations in ATJ’s network to increase voter and policy advocacy engagement
Representing ATJ in coalition work, providing insights and logistical support where applicable to support collaborative efforts in civic engagement and/or policy advocacy
Supporting data analysis of voter file information, internal research, and local, state, and federal data to inform ATJ’s programmatic strategies in civic engagement, policy advocacy, and leadership development
Providing thought partnership and logistical support of youth leadership development programs during peak season of activity
Ensuring the high quality and success of ATJ’s programs through quality control monitoring and compliance with federal, state, and local rules and regulations

Three or more years of campaign, community organizing, or electoral experience
Background in community organizing, civic engagement, and/or policy advocacy
Experience in project management, building new systems, and creating processes to streamline operations and optimize efficiency
Familiarity with VAN, ThruTalk, ThruText, and other voter contact tools
In-depth knowledge of the local AAPI environment and community leaders
Deeply passionate about equity and social justice, particularly for AAPIs and other marginalized groups
Detail oriented, excellent time management, and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and facilitation
Able to work well independently as well as in a collaborative environment

Community Organizing Manager

The Community Organizing Manager is responsible for:
Developing and coordinating community organizing campaigns and political strategies to advance ATJ’s policy priorities in the 90th Texas Legislative Session
Attending committee hearings and provide testimony and/or analysis of proposed legislation that impact ATJ’s policy priorities and the AAPI community
Working with ATJ’s Executive Director, support relationships with key policy makers and elected leaders and share ATJ’s policy agenda
Developing and administering training for AAPI community members to inform them on state level policy making, advocacy, and how to provide testimony
Leading community engagement and mobilization for committee hearing preparations such as developing toolkits for public testimony and organizing committee hearing day logistics
Working with ATJ staff to leverage storytelling, narratives, social media, and other digital strategies to inspire, mobilize, and activate AAPI community members to advocate for policy change
Representing ATJ, work alongside advocacy groups and coalitions to advance policy priorities for the AAPI community Texas
Distributing advocacy outreach material, including calls to action and other educational content, via digital channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, WeChat, and other tools
Providing logistical and operation support for the statewide AAPI advocacy day at the Capitol and calls to action
Supporting general ATJ events, tasks, and administrative duties, as needed

Three or more years of policy, community organizing, or issue-based advocacy experience
Background in community organizing, civic engagement, and/or electoral campaigns
Experience in project management, building new systems, and creating processes to streamline operations and optimize efficiency
Proficiency or fluency in an Asian language is a plus
Familiarity with VAN, ThruTalk, ThruText, and other voter contact tools
In-depth knowledge of the local AAPI environment and community leaders
Deeply passionate about equity and social justice, particularly for AAPIs and other marginalized groups
Detail oriented, excellent time management, and interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and facilitation
Able to work well independently as well as in a collaborative environment
